Are you trusting your guidance?
Today I wanted to share how you listen to your guidance and follow it without hesitation. Big job, because so many of my clients have told me this is something they dearly want to do yet it seems so elusive.
Their struggle usually begins with trusting that they are getting the answers to their internal questions clearly. They often wonder if the voice people talk about is their own or is it another voice.
First of all, when you hear clear guidance for you, it may be a voice (yours or another one), and it may also be a sign, a phone call, or something a friend or acquaintance says to you. What happens to let you know it’s a clear sign is you, the receiver, will get goosebumps, or a sweet feeling in your gut, or a moment that makes you go Ah-Ha.
These may be rare, to begin with. And, if you have been listening to your guidance and even practicing for a while you might be getting hung up on a version of the same thing. That is, you will not trust your gut or the sign, or the voice, your mind will come in and argue with your direction.
A great example of this is my resistance to past situations where trusting my inner truth proved to help me. Last night I had a very clear dream, though it continued to be clear when I woke up and meditated. The dream showed me many elder women from a local moving organization removing my things before I was moving! I was enraged, upset, and pleading with them to stop taking my things. I walked into one room to see if those things were still there, which they were not, and just before I began to plead with them to stop again, I had that moment of guidance that said to me ‘This is the answer to your prayer (of living more simply)’. This stopped me in my tracks. I listened and had to honor what I heard and stop being upset with them and myself. The dream ended. Upon waking that raging feeling was still with me and I sat down with my guidance to ‘see this dream clearly’. What was shown to me is when there is an answer to a prayer, you may not know how it will turn out and you may not like it. The elder women represented your wiser self, the things being moved represented what you can now let go of, and the anger represented the way you dealt with the things in the past which you do not do any longer. I have much forgiveness for myself for having these lingering feelings. And I was restored to happiness for my life as it is.
What do you hold on to that you’ve asked your guidance to help you with? What's in the way of you trusting your guidance to help you? Did you even realize it has such an impact on your whole being and your spiritual growth?
In my sessions with clients, we uncover these kinds of untrusting behaviors through the many processes I use. Each of these processes teaches you ways to trust your guidance, your gut, your intuition, a message or sign, and yourself. Trust like this is very rare for us humans. And, when you use it often, it grows within you and your life becomes a flow of trust. It becomes your superpower!
Bring the trust level of your guidance to a whole new level - bring the things that you don’t trust to the table and say - ready, set, go!
